The world has sadly lost one of it’s truly ‘Great Guys’.
M.C. Mikey (as he will always be remembered by us) was a friend and fan of The Peartree Bridge Family from the very beginning and before. He was one of the crowd that would get together most Sunday lunchtimes at The Barge in Woolstones several years ago, to be with friends and chat and drink.
Mike was never one to criticize or to judge people. He didn’t have any biased pre-conceptions or expectations and would truly do whatever he could for a friend, especially a friend in need.
If the ‘Oxford English’ ever need an explanation for the term ‘Nice Bloke’, they could not use a better example than ‘M.C. Mikey. Many people will remember him for his time as Deputy Manager at The Grebe in Great Holm, MK and it was Mikey that insisted that the Landlord book us there. It’s been one of our favourite venues ever since.
Although like most of us, Mikey had many troubled times, his enthusiasm, optimism and infectious smile never failed to brighten the dreariest of days.
